Pecha Kucha Night Auckland #11

The amazing Pecha Kucha is coming to Manukau city as part of the Manukau Festival of Arts 08.

Pecha Kucha is a rapid-fire presentation format in which 14 outspoken creative-types are limited to the 20 x 20 Pecha Kucha rule. This means each speaker is allowed just 20 slide images; each slide is shown for 20 seconds, resulting in a fresh and fun six minute and 40 second presentation.

Enjoy a drink at the bar and the sounds of a live DJ before the Pecha Kucha session starts. There is no restriction on the type of content that can be presented so audiences should expect an evening packed with surprises from Manukau’s creative scene.

Come along and experience an exhilarating variety of ideas and projects from our awesome line up of presenters!

Presenters include: Musicians DJ Gene Rivers, Matthew Salapu and Coco Solid, architects Andrew Tu’inukuafe and Rewi Thompson, photographers Serena Stevenson and Raymond Sagapolutele, architecture graduate Charmaine Ilaiu, artists Jeremy Leatinuu and Janet Lilo, ta moko artist Turumakina Duley and curator Ema Tavola. They will be joined by a guest presenter visiting from the United States, Paulen Candeago.

Last year, Pecha Kucha Night was voted Best Inspirational Event in the Metro 2007 Best of Auckland awards.

Pecha Kucha is presented by Pecha Kucha Auckland in partnership with Manukau Arts, Manukau City Council. It is devised and shared by Klein Dytham architecture.
